Hotel Derby - Zermatt

Nice place with excellent wi-fi, helpful luggage storage, and a welcome drink upon arrival. The staff once assisted me in finding transport, which I appreciate. I'm coming back for a xmas.

the breakfast was generous and good, they make plenty of meals. my room with very nice design and balcony plus big bathroom was good sized and newly renovated. the location was very central, amazing close to train terminal.

They served similar breakfast, it can be far better.

Room design was unique and functional, with an very nice view of Bahnhofstrasse from our balcony.

The rooms are recently refurbished with huge bathrooms. The breakfast is generous, outstanding food. Special thanks to really friendly and extraordinarily friendly staff for making my stay a really comfortable experience.

Covenient because it near city and train station and room is clean and tidy and staff is friendly and helpful

Newly renovated room and generous breakfast to start the day. Excellent service and an outdoor restaurant onsite. Easy parking nearby.

Zermatt vibes with a twist 🌄🍽️

The food was lekker, especially the chicken nuggets, proper tasty for the kids! The location's a winner, just a short walk from the train station. It was also cool to sip apple sparkling juice while watching people go by.

But, ja, the service was a bit off, reminded me of the lady server could use a proper attitude adjustment.

We stayed in the Studio room which was very nice and the facilities were great. We had chance to cook during our honeymoon and it was fun and cheaper than eating out :p

Wifi signal could be stronger.

The things I like best at the Hotel Restaurant Derby are the facilities at the service apartment rooms. The only snag is the lamps that did not light up when we opened the main door of the building Bellevue at the entrance. The other lamps are ok. The lamps along the corridors outside the rooms lighted up once we opened the room door.

This is the second time we have stayed in a studio behind the hotel. They are a great size, very clean, comfortable and in a perfect central location. The lady on reception is always very helpful and very nice. We will be back soon!

The room had a cozy vibe and was recently refurbished, perfect for our family of three. We had a great view of Matterhorn from the balcony, made mornings special. The mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable, with some good options available. Staff were very kind and offered excellent restaurant recommendations. The dining area had some issues. Flies were present during our meals, quite unappealing. The lack of mini-bar amenities in the room made it a bit inconvenient. It's a shame since the location is really central, just a few minutes from the train station and plenty of dining options.

Very friendly people, extremely kind and understanding, sincere & warm smiles made our stay much more comfortable. They were very helpful with suggestions on where to go for dining and about ski rentals. Nothing unnecessarily fancy at this warm, cosy & friendly hotel, just good quality of whatever we needed at a nice ski resort. Very clean, friendly & professional. Location of the hotel is very central and perfect!

I usually can find some things missing... amazing that I can't find any for this hotel! ;) It was a perfect fit for our family (with our 4.5 years old son).

Very close to the station, still yet in the nice area. This was a great help to us since we had luggege to carry. Comes with reasonably good breakfast in the hotel owned resturant. Fridge in the room. Our room had partial matterhorn view which was a nice surprize, it was not advertized. all the shops and resturants near by. Only 2 min walk to train station and Gornergrat station but if you want to take ropeway, 20min walk or take green bus from train station to ropeway station.

front desk closes at night (10:30pm to 7am). we felt a little unconfortable for just in case of emergency. If you need to check out early before front desk comes work, you have to settle all your bills night before. However, by the time we came back around 9:30pm after dinner, front desk was closed. May be just that day?
